Washington, D.C.: Over 100 Small Business Owners To Visit D.C. to Make Their Voices Heard on Health Reform

WASHINGTON, Oct. 29 – Over 100 owners of small businesses will visit Washington, D.C., next week to spend a day speaking to their Congressional representatives and to the White House on the need for health care reform.

Small business owners from 24 states across the country spend Tuesday, Nov. 3, meeting with their representatives on Capitol Hill. Following their legislative meetings, the business owners will visit the White House to be briefed on health care by Kathleen Sebelius, Secretary of Health and Human Services.

The four main sponsors of the day are U.S. Public Interest Research Group, Main Street Alliance, Small Business Majority, and Consumers Union.

The states from which businesspeople are coming include:

Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin
