House Education Proposal Would Expand Grant Aid, Reform Loan Programs

We applaud Chairman Miller for introducing an education bill that puts students first.  This legislation takes seriously the challenges students face paying for college and responds with a substantial commitment to college access and affordability.  The House should move quickly to pass this bill.

The State PIRGs are non-profit, non-partisan public interest advocacy groups. The Higher Education Project was established in 1994 to secure more aid for students, with a focus on additional grants, reduced debt, and better service to students in the federal financial aid system.
