"A Game Changer"

The proposed Consumer Financial Protection Agency is "a game changer," according to Ed Mierzwinski, U.S. PIRG's Consumer Program Director. “It’s the biggest thing for financial consumers since deposit insurance in the 1930s.”

On June 24, Mierzwinski testified at the House Financial Services hearing on the proposed agency.

After the hearing, Mierzwinski spoke with Elizabeth Warren, head of the Congressional Oversight Panel.

Health Care - The need for reform

U.S. PIRG is fully mobilized in the fight for health care reform this summer, with a door-to-door canvass in 27 cities across the country and regular publications and briefings.
