Students Educate Lawmakers To Overhaul Financial Aid

In 2007, Congress passed and President Bush signed the most significant overhaul to federal financial aid programs in the last 15 years. Congressional leaders made it clear that U.S. PIRG Education Fund’s student-led public education efforts were instrumental in building enough public support to inspire Congressional action.

Toy Safety Survey Helps Keep Hazards Off Store Shelves

For 24 years, U.S. PIRG Education Fund has released our annual Trouble in Toyland report, a survey of potentially dangerous toys available at major retailers. Our nationwide press conferences receive media coverage in hundreds of outlets every year, and our efforts have helped get more than 150 dangerous products off the shelves.

MEET OUR STAFF

Andre Delattre, Executive Director

Andre Delattre is the Executive Director of U.S. PIRG, the U.S. PIRG Education Fund, and the National Campus Director for the Student PIRGs. He oversees all aspects of the PIRGs’ programs, including program implementation and administration.

Prior to becoming the U.S. PIRG Executive Director in 2007, Mr. Delattre was the National Campus Director for the Student PIRGs. During his tenure, the campus program grew in both scope and impact.
